Taillight license plate light i have a 2001 chevy silverado 1500. My right taillight license plate light do not work but the drivers side does. This video is applicable to the 08 chevy. I am updating the truck with leds inside and out and that s how i noticed this issue.

There are three bcm fuses 4 6 and 7 that need to be checked i would check the bulbs as well because you might have had a voltage surge that pops the bulbs.
