Tail lights not working on 2005 ford escape recently replaced rear brake lights and turn signal lights.
2005 ford escape brake light fuse keeps blowing.
10a car cranks a couple times then fuse 4 blows.
I have an 04 ford escape that the gear shift is stuck in park.
This was due to the brake light fuse being blown.
In the past 2 days i have blown 2 fuses for the brake lights.
If fuse keep blowing then it is a short.
They are 15amp fuses per the owners manual.
When this fuse blows the safety feature on the car does not allow you to take the car out of park you can t shift the car into reverse drive etc.
Driving around without brake lights is waiting for an accident.
All you can do is follow the wires and see if there s a place where it could be rubbed through.
The 15 means the amp rating of the fuse is 15 amps and something in the circuit is causing more than 15 amps to go through blowing the fuse.
You must determine what keeps blowing the fuse.
This is important because the wires in the circuit were sized to handle 15 amps.
Car cranks a couple times then fuse 4 blows dead instr.
My brake light fuse keeps blowing do you have any idea.
I have an 04 ford escape that the gear shift is stuck in park.
Buy a tester which costs couple of dollars to test were is power and were not.
The stoplight sends power from the brake light switch in the light green wire to the abs module transmission eca eec besides the third stop light and stop lights in the tail lights.
I replaced and the gear shift was releassed.
Panel and no read more.
The green red wire from the fuse panel to the stop light switch too.
If your map light stereo turn signals heated seats headlights or other electronic components suddenly stop working chances are you have a fuse that has blown out.
If fuse does not blow then it is a broken line in the brake light wires follow the wires down to the fuse.
Did not ford 2005 escape question.
