This is a really hard and indepth job to do but wil save you a 1000 dollars doing it. Take off the heater core cover by removing its screws then pull the core out making sure you don t tear the foam material surrounding it. Remove the plenum assembly top. Works like a charm.

Make sure your problem is not the heater core leaking at the connections because of corrosion. Remove the heater core bracket. Been on for over 5yrs. Most guys i know just cut the old hose off including the clamp.

Remove the two screws. I have a 1997 ford expedition and i have no heat. Special pair of pliers for this removal. Remove the blend door assembly from the case.
